Scrappage scheme – Roaring Success

The scrappage scheme backed by the UK government some months ago has already proven it successful and is described by many as being a roaring success. Many dealerships report an influx of clients and new cars are selling fast. Although the back-up plan for buying new cars is getting more and more popular, not all new cars attract the same customers’ attention. There are some models which seem to be performing better than others at least in sales statistics. Unbelievable as it may seem, producers of the hot new car models are currently facing the issue of not being able to keep up with the market demand, this was impossible to think about some months before. So what are the stars of the scrappage scheme? The indisputable top billing seems to be Kia Picanto earning some seventy percent of all Kia’s scrappage orders. If the query on top selling new cars was based only on total scrappage sales then the Hyundai i10 would probably get the prize. The next place is taken by Ford and its Fiesta model. Other stars in the new car sales top billing are as follows: Renault Clio- with its sales figures still rising, Vauxhall Corsa, Nissan Micra- during latest audits Nissan confirmed their sales figures going up month by month, and finally – the Honda Jazz.
